I was introduced to meditation when I started yoga classes at the tender age of 18 (yes, just a young punk now that I look back lol). The whole process of the physical movement of yoga postures along with the moments of inward silence really resonated with me and always left me feeling refreshed and completely re-engergized. Even at such a young age, I think a part of me knew that I had managed to stumble on a gold mine of a technique that could potentially unleash my super powers. Over the years, I have come to learn about the never ending list of physical, mental, emotional (and did I mention anti-aging?) benefits that comes a lot with that feel good burst of energy.
This initial experience with meditation was probably the trigger that led me to become the Holistic Therapist and Trainer that I am today. And for that I am ever so grateful.
For those of you that don’t know my story… I have three beautiful children and I had them all in a span of three years! Phew, yeah you can say that again. I had only six months break in between each pregnancy and I didn’t have the chance to release all the weight before the next baby came along. After my third baby was born, I weighed 20 kgs more than my pre-pregnancy days (the heaviest I have ever been!). With realistic goals in mind, along with patience and a genuine love for my body no matter the shape or size, more “How I Released my Baby Weight…Naturally!”…
I am so excited to write that I have been officially meditating for over seven years now. And maybe even unofficially for many years before that, I just didn’t realize it was meditation. I believe this practice of going inward has been pivotal in my many transformations and in understanding who I really am. In essence, discovering my inner beauty!
