I recently had the opportunity to attend a Face Yoga workshop at Jeanique Yoga and Pilates studio based in JLT. I have been hearing about this natural beauty technique for a few years now and I heard that with regular practice the effects on your face–lifting, firming, radiating–are outstanding. As an avid yoga fan myself, face yoga seemed like sensible progression in my natural beauty routine. The before and after photos you find on the internet are quite inspiring as well. Is it possible to have a natural face lift without knives, needles or expensive creams?
When I heard about this latest treatment in health and beauty, literally freezing yourself to below zero temperatures for 3 minutes at a time, I thought to myself, “who’s crazy enough to do that??” Well, I guess I am.
Not a fan of the cold by any means (I avoid cold weather like the plague), I was very to curious to know what all the buzz was about. What could be so great about having “a freeze” so that celebrities and pro athletes (Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant…to name a few) around the world have this human ice pop machine in their homes!? Even the world-renowned Anthony Robbins swears by it. There’s got to be something amazing going on for the body…
Have you ever heard the saying that laughter is the best medicine? Well it seems that the medical community have confirmed that our ancestors were right. A good laugh everyday has a plenitude of positive effects on both the body and mind. I believe that everyone enjoys a good laugh, I know I do (comedies are always my first pick when choosing a movie to watch at the movie theater). Since I’ve my had my three wonderful children, they make it really easy to laugh… a lot.
I lived in Amman for four years during my early teenage years. Although I experienced a complete culture shock when we first made the move over due to the change of language, culture and traditions (I lived my childhood years in the States), I grew to love Jordan as it became a home for us and it still holds a special place in my heart today. Besides the wonderful, always ‘full of love’ more “Why Dead Sea Mud is so Good for You”
I believe that mother nature has an answer for everything. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, oils, teas, honey and most of your kitchen cupboard can all be as equally beneficial on the skin as the inside of your body. I have bought my share of beauty products over the years, some which I have paid hundreds of dollars for (yikes!), and still I have found (for those of you who know more “4 Homemade Facials for Radiant Skin”
I am so excited to write that I have been officially meditating for over seven years now. And maybe even unofficially for many years before that, I just didn’t realize it was meditation. I believe this practice of going inward has been pivotal in my many transformations and in understanding who I really am. In essence, discovering my inner beauty!
Despite the misconceptions, meditating is quite simple and does not necessarily require a specific level of spiritual enlightenment in order to practice or incorporate it into your life. more “How to Meditate Like a Pro – 5 Easy Techniques”
Most people find it hard to believe that I am in my 30s and already a mother of 3 beautiful children. I have quite a few beauty and anti-aging secrets up my sleeve yet there is one in particular that stands out…and has almost instantaneous effects! more “My Fountain of Youth…Juice”
