I admit that a beautiful brow can make a drastic difference to the entire appearance of the face. I know plenty of ladies that have spent precious time and energy on making their eyebrows thicker, bigger, shaped and very well groomed all with various or temporary results. That means tattooing, threading, plucking, dying, extensions and even (get ready for this) eyebrow hair transplants which legendary media personality and make up artist, Joelle Mardinian, has recently done to hers.
Although I do take care of my appearance but thankfully God didn’t give much patience when it comes to all this mambo jumbo beautification stuff . I prefer to do things a naturally as possible and get it done FAST! Who’s with me on this?
Here’s a natural remedy that is unbelievably simple, however slightly smelly… but that doesn’t bother me too much:
Take a clove of garlic and slice it in half. Rub the cut side all over both eyebrows making sure to get the juices well inside. I prefer to do this before I sleep to avoid any embarrassing encounters during the day (you will inevitably smell like garlic for a while until you wash it off)!
If you have sensitive skin make sure to leave the garlic juices on only for a few minutes then wash off with cold water. You might want to do a patch test to see how your skin will react to it first.
I do not have any sensitivities to it so I leave it on overnight and wash it well in the morning. You will notice thicker brows within a few weeks time but you will need to do this consistently for the best results. I know some women who seriously swear by this.
Specific compounds in the garlic help with collagen production and therefore hair growth, so get ready for a pair of bold brows that even Sophia Loren would graciously admire.
Let me know how it goes!
Three cheers for beautiful brows… au naturale
