Surprising Home Remedy for Colds and Flus

Ancient remedies for curing the common cold have been floating around for thousands of years, but do they really work?

I know my grandparents always talked about onions and how eating them in their raw form can heal the body by acting as nature’s all-in-one “Mr Fix it”.  My grandpa would literally take a whole onion, peel it, then it eat it like is was an apple almost every evening at dinner! I like onions but never have gotten myself to eat it quite in that way…yet.

And they we’re totally right of course.

So it turns out that onions are rich in sulfur-containing compounds that are responsible for their strong odor. Sulfur is a powerful detox element and helps the body to release toxins, especially for the liver. Foods naturally high in sulfur also help the body to detox from heavy metals like lead, arsenic and cadmium.

The onion is the richest dietary source of quercitin, a powerful antioxidant flavonoid that has been shown to thin the blood, lower cholesterol, ward off blood clots, and fight asthma, chronic bronchitis, hay fever, diabetes, atherosclerosis and infections and is even linked to inhibiting certain types of cancer.

Onions are also naturally anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and antiviral.

This specific remedy is originally an Indian Ayurvedic recipe for curing the common cold and influenza. It has earned itself the great reputation of getting you healthy and back on your feet- literally overnight! This safe for adults and even for your children.

What you need:

  • 1 White Onion sliced in half (white onion is said to work best)
  • A pair of tightly fitted socks

Instructions:

Wear socks on clean feet and place the sliced onion on the middle of the foot before sleeping at night (this will pull the toxins out of your body).  Remove the socks and onion from your feet in the morning for a noticeable improvement in how you feel physically and mentally!  Continue for a few more nights as necessary.

Tip:

Would you like to have a healthy environment during cold and flu season?  Peel and slice an onion in half then leave it in open bowl in any room (or all) of the house.  The onions will absorb all the unnecessary bacterias and viruses while keeping you and your family cold and flu free!
